Vacationers Returning: 30,000 Vehicles Depart from Bodrum in 24 Hours

Vacationers who spent the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday in the tourist district of Bodrum in Muğla are continuing to return home.

Approximately 250,000 vehicles entered Bodrum during the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday.

As a result, the city’s population, normally around 200,000, swelled to 1 million.

Hotel occupancy rates reached around 95%, and the beaches were flooded with vacationers.

Vacationers on the Way Back

On the 7th day of the holiday, vacationers continued to leave the district to avoid the potential traffic congestion in the last 2 days. Long vehicle queues formed at the city’s exit points, and there was heavy traffic in the Gümbet-Yokuşbaşı direction.
